STEM is Fun!
The program combines English language instruction and hands-on activities and experiments. We aim to inspire students and get them interested and engaged in the world of STEAM. Introducing S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) early on helps to encourage and support a positive and confident attitude when approaching technology of any kind!
Each year we offer a variety of STEAM courses for teens, covering topics like video game coding, java programming, robotics, filmmaking, and more. Students can create their own animation sequence, design a wearable tech outfit or 3D print something awesome, all while learning important 21st-century skills like teamwork, leadership and critical thinking.
To further develop their knowledge and understanding of robotics, students will enjoy a robotics engineering workshop hosted by Ryerson University.
Learn skills like how to kayak, rock climb, whitewater paddle, backpack, navigate and mountain bike.
Along the way you develop even more valuable soft skills including :
- New skills in robotics and STEM
- Leadership and teamwork skills
- Cross-cultural communication skills for their global future
- Enhanced self-esteem and personal responsibility
- Skills in setting and achieving measurable goals
